Important - Winter Snow Removal
12/30/2021
Help Us, Help You
*If there is snow in the forecast, don't park on the street. This will help our plows move snow as quickly & efficiently as possible.
*Do not allow children to play in snow drifts or snow piles along the street. This is very dangerous, especially when streets are being cleared by snow plows.
*As a property owner, it is your responsibility to clear snow from all sidewalks on or adjacent to your property within twelve (12) hours after the cessation of a storm in residential areas or five (5) hours in the business district.
*Keep fire hydrants clear of snow and debris. Be mindful when shoveling or snow blowing to not cover any fire hydrant with snow.
*When a Snow Emergency is declared, all vehicles parked on a snow route shall be removed within one half (½) hour of the time of the beginning of the snow emergency. The owner or operator of any vehicle found in violation of this prohibition shall be subject to a fine of one hundred ($100.00) dollars and/or towing at the property owner's expense.
*When a Snow Emergency is declared, the Village will announce the start and stop times for parking restrictions via local news media, on the Village of Eagle Facebook page, online at www.eaglene.gov and by text message alert. If you haven't signed up for text message alerts, do so today by visiting www.eaglene.gov/subscribe
