Now Hiring--Full Time Maintenance Personnel

The Village of Eagle is currently accepting applications for a full time Maintenance Personnel position. This position requires a variety of duties including the operation and maintenance of light, medium and heavy equipment such as street sweepers, snowplow trucks, backhoes, skid steers and mowing equipment; operation of the well system and wastewater treatment facility; routine building and property grounds maintenance; general repair and maintenance of equipment; and experience in basic plumbing and construction or maintenance techniques. Municipal or maintenance background preferred. Candidate must have a valid Nebraska driver's license. Physical and background check required upon offer of employment. Certification as a Class IV Water Operator and Class II Wastewater Operator desired or may be required within 12 months of employment. Salary range is $12.00-$18.00 per hour (without Water and/or Sewer License); $15.00-$25.00 per hour (with a single Water or Sewer License); and $18.00-$28.00 per hour (with both a Water and Sewer License). Benefits package includes health, dental, vision, disability/life insurance, retirement, paid vacation, holidays and sick leave. Eagle Water Watch Effective Immediately

Effective Immediately, June 10, 2021, the Village of Eagle has entered Stage One (Water Watch) of the Drought Emergency Contingency Plan.

Bring any electronics, large & small appliances, equipment or metals for recycling or refurbishing. LIMIT OF 2 LARGE APPLIANCES PER HOUSEHOLD. Cass County residents only. No commercial quantities. Keep Cass County Beautiful will pay half of the recycling fee of one item per household.
Eagle Pool Opening May 29, 2021

The Eagle Pool is open for the 2021 season beginning May 29, 2021. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Eagle Village Cleanup Day--VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Take pride in your community and help clean up the park, streets and trails. Eagle Village Cleanup Day will be held Saturday, May 15 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Eagle Municipal Park located at 600 D Street. Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

The Village of Eagle will be hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Event on Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Eagle Village Parking Lot located at 747 South 2nd Street. Items accepted include cleaning products, lawn & garden chemicals, paint, used oil, florescent light bulbs and other hazardous household items. NO FARM CHEMICALS. Please bring materials in disposable containers no larger than 5 gallons or 50 pounds. Containers will not be returned. No tires, appliances, science lab chemicals, items containing asbestos, wood preservatives, PCB's, explosives or commercial quantities. A $5.00 donation per household is requested. Help keep these events going!

Due to the addition of 2nd Street on the east side of town, the Village of Eagle Office has been assigned a new physical address by the United States Postal Service.
Update: 1st Street Closure
12/17/2020
Beginning today, December 17th at 1:00 PM, 1st Street will be closed between Highway 34 and G Street for repairs.
Closure of 1st Street
12/11/2020
Effective Monday, December 14th, 1st street will be closed at the Highway 34 intersection. Repairs will be made and reopening is anticipated in two weeks. However, this coul change due to weather delays.
Street Construction/ Village Office Access

Access to the Village of Eagle Office from 1st Street is temporarily closed. Instead, turn off Highway 34 onto the newly poured 2nd Street (west of the new Casey's). Please note that this currently is not a through street.
